Impairment used to mean drunk driving, but alcohol is not the only thing that can seriously impair an individual’s ability to safely drive a car, pilot an aircraft, handle heavy equipment, or perform surgery. Drugs, both over the counter and illegal, are increasingly contributing to impairment fatalities as abusers shift from easy to detect alcohol to alternative recreational drugs where there is no simple, fast, all encompassing and noninvasive test that can tell police, employers, or military personnel if a person is impaired due to any kind of drug, alcohol or fatigue.
The Briteye Automatic Impairment Analyzer changes all that. Without the need for invasive body fluid or hair samples, the Briteye Automatic Impairment Analyzer executes the equivalent of the three step Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) and the twelve step Drug Evaluation and Classification (DEC) test, delivering a conclusive impairment report accompanied by a full video and vitals data set for presentation in court, should that be necessary. The Briteye Automatic Impairment Analyzer is configured as a highly portable system of goggles and a vitals arm band that can fit in a police cruiser glove box, or a table top, all-in-one, transportable unit for ease of use and deployment in construction trailers, airports, or hospitals. |
